I disagree. I think if we’re going to re-imagine how a “newspaper” is going to look we should go for broke and utilize some modern design theory.
Bring in some geometric super-legible sans-serifs for the headlines and some PMN Caecilia for the body text.
Also, I pray that the concept of information hierarchy is en vogue in 31 years.
You can’t improve upon the future without keeping the past as a guide.
Update: I should read the original post first. Way to go Intel. Insinuate that everybody is going to use your corporate typeface on every publication known to man. Try thinking outside the box to re-imagine the function of a newspaper. If we’re finding out now how valuable real-time news is why would you place it in a static environment like this? There’s no date, or time on any article. I’m declaring this an epic fail.
